Volunteer

Dharmachakra Center is a nonprofit organization that operates though the kindness of volunteers. Our grass-roots organization receives no outside financial support. Nevertheless, we plan and manage approximately four hundred events per year at a dozen different locations around New Jersey. So we know how to organize volunteers.

Volunteering is a great way to have fun, give back, and put your good intentions into action! Every contribution of time is meaningful and important. Volunteering with a good intention creates good karma.

Anyone can volunteer. You don’t need a special skill or experience. All you need is a good heart and willingness to learn.

Many of our volunteers have learned leadership and other critical skills. Want to gain resume-building experience with project management, major event planning, fundraising, marketing, social media, graphic design, information technology or other areas? Inquire within!

Through volunteering, we can teach you soft-skills like communication, team-building, collaboration and more. You will learn all that in the course of making friends and contributing to something meaningful and important.

If you wish to volunteer, please e-mail or call us, or fill out the VOLUNTEER FORM and bring it to the center.

“Thank you for your interest in helping to spread Buddha’s teachings throughout the New York area. If we think clearly we shall realize that all our present and future happiness depends upon our cherishing others.
